Cushing Welcomes Back Carol Keohane to Board of Directors

Cardinal Cushing Centers is pleased to announce that Carol Keohane has rejoined the Cushing Board of Directors – rounding out a stellar group of industry experts who help to oversee Cushing’s growth. She was previously on the board from 2007 – 2013 and was a great asset to the organization.

Keohane, a Norwell resident, is the Senior Vice President, Chief Quality & Safety Officer at South Shore Health – the largest independent, not-for-profit health system in Southeastern Massachusetts.  In this role she promotes and ensures an effective culture of quality, safety, patient experience, and continuous improvement throughout South Shore Health. 

“Carol’s background is a tremendous asset to our board of directors,” said Cushing President and CEO Michelle Markowitz. “Her medical expertise will help provide insight into health and wellness services at Cushing, ensuring informed decisions that support individuals’ rights and needs – not only in our care but also in our greater community.”

Keohane has a dynamic background and strong expertise in driving successful, cost-effective healthcare delivery programs, and possesses a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and results in the areas of quality, safety, risk, regulatory, accreditation, clinical operations, and patient experience.

“I am so impressed by the growth of Cushing since I was last on the board,” said Keohane. “In the last 12 years, the organization has continued to thrive and has become even more vibrant, which I am excited to be a part of.”
