Volunteers Needed for Committee that Champions the Rights of Adults with Disabilities

Adults at train museum

One of Cardinal Cushing Centers’ vibrant volunteer committees – called the Human Rights Committee – works to ensure that the community, schools, government and medical fields are working together to preserve the rights and dignity of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This Committee is looking for volunteers from any background, and particularly those with experience in law, social work and nursing. Members would be asked to attend quarterly meetings as scheduled, to review Cushing’s quality of services, and ensure the social and legal rights for this exceptional population.

If you’d be interested in joining the Human Rights Committee, please contact Aindrea Benduzek, Human Rights Coordinator, at abenduzek@cushingcenters.org.
