Sweet treats for Valentine’s Day
Students at the nonprofit Cardinal Cushing Centers are gearing up to provide an array of sweet treats in time for Valentine’s Day.
The Cushing Trader, a shop on Washington Street in Hanover, showcases the artworks, candles and soaps made by students attending the day and residential Cardinal Cushing school for students with intellectual disabilities.
The Cardinal Trader will offer a selection of festively displayed chocolate treats made by students participating in the school’s vocational program. The treats that are being made include apples, Oreo cookies and marshmallows that are dipped in chocolate. Some are topped with candy pieces, nuts or coconut.
