Program Spotlight: The Art Program

Teacher: Randy Wiskow

The Art Program has had an exciting year! Our Cushing artists have displayed their art at golf tournaments around the South Shore, at ING’s office in Braintree, the Starbucks in Hanover and at the Cushing Trader, our art gallery on campus! Visitors to the Bass Café can now view our creations while they enjoy their sweet treats and good eats.

We enjoy sharing our art with everyone around campus. You can see samples of what we do in all of our buildings. One of our favorite projects is designing and putting together centerpieces for school functions and fund-raising activities. We just completed centerpieces for our Super Bowl party and for Valentine’s Day celebrations and events. Our next centerpiece creation will be for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner & Auction to benefit our Cushing graduates’ trip to Disneyworld.

We explore and experiment with all types of mediums and enjoy creating with recycled products we find around campus and from what is donated to us.

The Art room is always open for visitors – please drop by and see us! If you do come by, we will ask you to create with us!
