Students and Adults Enjoy Summer Special Olympics
Cushing had a great showing in the Special Olympics Summer Games, including 75 athletes competing in powerlifting, track & field, and volleyball in early June. The 14-person adult track team competed in the mile walk, the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter walk/run. Both the adult “Spikers” AND the student volleyball teams won bronze, and one student power lifted a whopping 315 pounds!
