Bethany Apartments Update

Dear all,

It is with great enthusiasm that we bring you our final update about the Bethany Apartments, as our new neighbors have started to move in! While the application period has closed and the lottery has been conducted, Peabody Properties can still take applicants who wish to apply to be on the wait list for an apartment.  If you are interested in being on the wait list, please visit www.bethanyapts.com and contact Peabody Properties with any questions.
 
Here are the latest updates:
    • • Construction is complete, except for a few punch list items, and residents began to move in the week of June 8th. It is a smoke-free living environment.
    •  
    • • Nearly 2/3rds of the units, including the 4-DMH one-bedroom apartments, are leased and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA) expect to reach full occupancy later this summer.
    •  
    • • Occupancy right now is at 85% and consists of about a dozen children, age 4-14.  As a reminder all residents have been CORI’d and SORI’d.
    •  
    • • Cushing student artwork has been hung throughout the building’s common areas.
    •  
    • • There are 30 parking spots around the Bethany Apartments dedicated for resident parking. To date there are not yet 30 cars associated with the residents who have moved in.

    • • There is a Property Manager onsite 5 days/week and an on-call manager who can respond to any of the residents’ needs.
    •  
    • • Cushing Managers are planning a coffee hour in late July to introduce who we are and what we do as an organization to the residents at Bethany. This will be followed-up with a welcome cookout in August.

    • • The POUA plans to schedule a ribbon cutting event this fall.
