South Shore Industries: Opportunities for Meaningful Employment.

South Shore Industries supports adults with disabilities gain the training, skills, and opportunities to find competitive and integrated employment in the community.

South Shore Industries is committed to the exploration, development, and implementation of employment plans tailored to each individual’s preferences, skills and needs.

The program is designed for adults over age 22, with and without employment experience. Job seekers receive the support to:

  • Explore employment settings; enhance employment skills; participate in volunteer programs and community-based work crews.
  • Obtain employment-related training in areas such as resume writing, interviewing skills, appropriate social boundaries, and community safety. We encourage team building activities as well as fitness and health opportunities.
  • Gain the confidence and tools to find success in the workplace, a vital part of living a full, meaningful and independent life as an active member of their community.

Program referrals are generated through the Department of Developmental Services and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
